LASHES
Lash services were the very first treatments to be offered at Lab no 42 and they remain by far my most popular beauty treatment to date. The approach to eyelash extensions is very different here at Lab No 42, compared to most other beauty salons. No pair of eyes are the same, so in a nutshell we don’t give every client the same lash set.
We always consult you on your lifestyle and expectations from a full set of lashes. Then we look at the style you would like created i.e fox, cat, squirrel, doll, round or wispy eye. Then we look at fullness and length and then finally the curl shape.
Creating a full bespoke set of lashes depending on the style and the number of natural lashes that you have, can take anywhere from 2.5 – 3 hours and an infill can take up to 1.5 hours to complete.
We have also partnered with some of the very best lash suppliers in the business: Lashbase, Pink Fishes and Eyelash Excellence to ensure we can bring you beautiful, bespoke lashes that will undoubtedly keep you coming back for more. CLASSIC LASHES
Classic eyelash extensions are natural-looking eyelash extensions. They are applied on a 1:1 ratio, which means one extension is attached to one natural lash. This style of lash creates a subtle and natural enhancement to the eyes. Classic lashes are perfect for those individuals who are looking to add length to their natural lashes with slight definition.
HYBRID LASHES
Hybrid Lashes are a mixture of Classic lashes and Russian Volume. This style of lashes is great if you are looking for classic lashes to extend the length but also you would like some added volume. Depending on the fullness sets range from a 50/50 mix of classic lashes and 3d fans. Or 20/80 mix 20% classic lashes with 80% 3d fans.
VOLUME LASHES
Volume eyelash extensions are a perfect option for ladies who are looking to add some length and real va va voom volume. Also known as Russian lashes, this style of lash set involves sets made with all fans incorporating 5 or more lashes per fan. At Lab No 42 we offer volume sets from 5-20 lashes per fan. So, in a nutshell the fuller the fan the more volume to the overall lash set.
BROWS
As the legendary make up artist Kevin Aucoin once famously said “To me, the eyebrows are the most important part of the face. They are our most expressive feature, as well as the one that can be changed most drastically without cosmetic surgery. Tweezing the brow correctly can make the eyes seem much larger and can really open the entire face. Brows groomed to perfection is just KILLER!!!”.
He was right. Brows are so important, because they frame our entire face. And a pair of beautifully shaped brows is everything. Add in a bespoke colour to add natural depth and trust me when I say: this and this alone is all that is needed to truly make those eyes pop!!!
Here at Lab Nº 42 our Brow treatment menu focuses on enhancing three main areas of the brow: Firstly the fullness of the brow, secondly the overall shape and then finally the colour. Choose from the following treatments to get the brows of your dreams:
BROW LAMINATION:
A treatment where the brow hairs are straightened to give a fuller, fluffier appearance. Brows are then shaped using a mapping technique to create the perfect shape for your face. Using warm wax and tweezering techniques the brows are shaped to perfection. Colour is then added to enhance the tone of your brow hairs.
HENNA
A deep colour that stains the skin and lasts for up to 4 weeks. Perfect for brow clients wanting to fill-in over-plucked areas on the brow. Great for clients wanting a deeper finish of colour.
TINT
A natural pop of colour mixed bespoke to your requirements which can last up to 7 days.
HYBRID TINT
Has the lasting stain of a henna, with the more natural finish of a tint.
WAXING
Waxing treatments are the fastest growing treatments that I offer here at Lab Nº 42. My waxing style is very much like popping over to one of your girlfriends for a coffee and a catch up. My salon is a private, clean environment and it is a totally non- judgemental space. I want all my new wax clients to come along to their appointment feeling relaxed, not anxious. Despite what you may have heard, waxing isn't totally pain free, however the hot wax that I use and the technique that I've been trained in, will ensure minimal discomfort for you, with amazing results.
As with all the treatments that I deliver, only the very best products are used. I use a combination of Outback Organics and Perron Rigot depilatory waxes, sprays and lotions to ensure that your skin is prioritsed from the start of the treatment all the way until the very end.
You will need at least 3-4 weeks hair growth before you can be waxed. Soreness, slight bumps and redness are all very normal after your first wax, especially if you have been shaving prior to waxing. The skin will settle down and in a few days, you will be able to start your aftercare routine.
